There’s a lot of learning happening in these small groups! Ms. Myers’s first graders are getting familiar with some of the math tools they’ll be using throughout the year while working together, exploring, and building their math skills. We love seeing those curious minds at work! 💙🐾

Happy Birthday, Mr. Koomler!

If you’ve spent any time around Bunker Hill, you know Mr. Koomler brings a little extra fun, a lot of laughter, and endless positivity wherever he goes!

He has a way of making our students smile, keeps our staff laughing, and brings so much joy to our school every single day. We are incredibly lucky to have someone who works so hard, cares so deeply, and makes Bunker Hill a better place.

Help us wish our Assistant Principal, Mr. Koomler, a very HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

Cultivating a collaborative, well-resourced work environment where staff feel valued, supported, and empowered to grow is what FTCSC is about. Thursday, FTCSC hosted our 2nd District Mentoring session for 26/27, focusing on a crucial foundation for student success: Classroom Management for the New Teacher.

Mentors and mentees gathered to gain real-world strategies and insights from six experienced FTCSC teachers, followed by collaborative situational Q&A discussions on navigating everyday classroom scenarios.

FTCSC is dedicated to supporting our newest Difference Makers through targeted mentorship from our amazing staff both at the building and district levels. Together, we're building a stronger future for our schools and students!

Mrs. Emerson’s first graders put their thinking caps on as they worked together to build words using large letter cards! Students had to listen carefully to each sound, think about which letters belonged, and collaborate with their classmates to build each word. We love seeing our Bulldogs learning, thinking, and working together!

Way to go, Bulldogs! 🐾💙

How cool is this! Former FTCSC Flashes Community students are coming back home, but this time they are not sitting in the classroom; they are standing at the front of it, Making A Difference for the next generation of Flashes!

This year, we are excited to welcome a large number of Franklin Central graduates back home to work throughout our FTCSC Flashes Community!

We recently sat down with four of those graduates, Samantha Williams, Grace Wilson, Lola Reddick, and Dion Smith, to learn more about their journey back to FTCSC, the teachers and staff who Made A Difference in their lives, and how those experiences are now shaping the way they serve their own students.

Each of their stories is different, but they all have something pretty special in common. Someone at FTCSC believed in them, encouraged them, helped them see what they were capable of becoming, and Made A Difference in their lives! Now, they have the opportunity to do the same for the next generation of Flashes!

That is pretty awesome! Read more about Samantha, Grace, Lola, and Dion and what brought them back home to our FTCSC Flashes Community:

To celebrate the end of their Tall Tale & Fairytale unit, students dressed up as their favorite characters and had fun showing off what they’ve learned. From classic fairytales to larger-than-life tall tale characters, our second graders brought plenty of imagination to the day!

At Bunker Hill, some of the most meaningful moments happen in the little things. 💙🐾

A smile in the hallway. A quick high-five. A laugh shared between a student and a staff member. A simple moment that reminds a child, “You are known. You are valued. You are loved.”

We are one big school family, and we treasure these everyday moments of connection with our Bulldogs. Because while academics are important, the relationships we build along the way are what make The Hill feel like home.

Here’s to the smiles, the laughter, the high-fives, and all the little moments that make Bunker Hill so special!
