Today, our FTCSC School Board members spent the day visiting schools across the district! They had the opportunity to walk through classrooms, observe purposeful learning in action, and connect with students, staff, and building administrators. These conversations and experiences keep our board members closely connected to the heart of our mission—making a difference through purposeful learning and meaningful collaboration. Happy Pinwheels for Peace Day from your Peaceful Pirates! Our students celebrated peace by making beautiful pinwheels, which they can find on the fence at recess and take home at the end of the day.

We also want to give a HUGE THANK YOU to all our bulldogs who helped raise money to provide breakfast for students in Haiti. Together, you raised an incredible $632.46, which will provide breakfast for about two months! 🐾💙#BHBulldogs #WeAreFlashes

Our Mini Merks loved heading outside for a nature walk, collecting leaves and searching for any sign of fall. With the temps lately, we’re all hoping cooler weather is just around the corner! 🐾💙#BHBulldogs #WeAreFlashes

Our first graders wrapped up their Body Systems unit with a special “OR Day”! Students rotated through stations like Operation, tricky word “surgery,” circulatory system puzzles, and more. Some even dressed the part as doctors while putting their knowledge to work.! What a fun way to bring learning to life! 💙🐾#BHBulldogs #WeAreFlashes

Our bus riders participated in their first bus evacuation drill of the year this morning and did an amazing job! These safety drills help us practice and prepare so that everyone knows what to do in case of an emergency. At Bunker Hill, safety is always a top priority 🐾💙#BHBulldogs #WeAreFlashes

Shoutout to Officer Rizzi, Officer Mullins, and Ardi for sharing our Safety Plan with nearly 50 parents from all seven of our elementaries! 💙 Thank you to Thompson Crossing Elementary and their amazing PTO for hosting, and to Chicago’s Pizza for keeping everyone fed.
