Mrs. Martinez’s first graders are diving into their new math unit and getting hands-on with learning about halves! Using Play-Doh to create and split their own shapes, students are building understanding in a fun and meaningful way. We love seeing these young learners explore, create, and grow their math skills together!

In addition to participating in conference sessions, they had the opportunity to engage in Meaningful Collaboration and Purposeful Learning with school board members and superintendents from across the country—sharing ideas, learning from one another, and bringing back insights that can help strengthen our schools.

From icy landscapes to lush forests and vibrant oceans, their creativity and learning were on full display!
These Bulldogs did a fantastic job showing how different animals live and thrive in their unique environments. Way to go, first grade!
